So progress continues apace on the Wars of Reaving Sourcebook. Yes, it’s coming. And due to some…schedule juggling, I’ll call it…it’ll be out a lot sooner than hinted at a few months ago. Thought I’d share some more from the book here. Whether it’s actually from the book, cuttings from the floor, or outright fabrication is, of course, up to the interpretation of the reader.

By and large, however, I’m very pleased with how it’s come along. And about ready to throw it out the window. Ahh, the life of a BattleTech writer…

Helpful Conventioneering Tips, or “How to Survive GenCon”

That’s not me but some other hack BattleTech writer.

My beautiful wife and I decided last night that a trip to GenCon this year in Indianapolis, Indiana is in order. Considering I’ve got a decently big project hitting at that time, it made sense to both of us to be there. Especially after all the sweat, sleepless nights, and rewrites this thing has caused.

We’re not rookie convention-goers by any means and I prefer having an enjoyable experience; I would assume so does everyone else. After all, it’s an experience you won’t forget. And to make it even more memorable – in the good way – I’ve decided to divulge some “trade secrets” that will help you and your friends get the most out of it.

Check out my conventioneering tips after the jump. They’re pretty universal, so even if you’re attending Origins Game Fair, Spiel, or E3, they have just as much merit as GenCon. If you have more, please share in comments!

WOR – Now I’m Just Teasing….?

But can you blame me for having fun? This is one of the best projects I’ve ever worked on. And I’m happy most of the factcheckers have been pleased as well. So far, anyway. Wait’ll they get some other sections; I’m sure the invective will fly at that point.

So…I’m going to post more stuff. The question you have to ask yourself is…am I posting real bits, or crazy fantasy designed to mess with heads? I know the answer. Do you?
